For 50 years, PSRC has been at the heart of research in the Philippines. From our earliest beginnings, we have been driven by one belief: the world is not changed by information alone, nor is the future defined by technology—it is shaped by deep understanding. This is what we call insight to incite. When insight is true, clear, and deep, it has the power to provoke, excite, motivate—and change the world.

Getting to the Heart of Filipinos

Our anniversary theme, Sapul sa Puso (Getting to the Heart), reflects our core philosophy: that the most powerful insights come not from surface-level data, but from the heart—where memory, emotion, and meaning reside.

The 50th year design is a colorful display of facets and stories, symbolizing the richness of Filipino life we’ve had the privilege to study. Each element represents how we listen, observe, and interpret:

  • Maalikatis na mga Mata (thorough sight) – seeing beyond the obvious, capturing nuance.
  • Makwentong Labi (story-driven lips) – giving voice to stories that matter.
  • Matalas na Pandinig (sharp hearing) – listening deeply and intently.
  • Malalim na Pag-iisip (deep thinking) – analyzing with rigor and perspective.
  • Mapanuring Panlasa (discerning taste) – knowing what truly matters and resonates.

Together, these senses embody PSRC’s way of working: whole, human, and heart-driven.

A Legacy of Understanding

As our founder, Mrs. Menchu Esteban, once said:

“When consumers play an active part in marketing, we are gifted with insights that incite action. We get to the heart of the issues. We get to the heart of Filipinos, so we can drive real change through empathy.”

For half a century, PSRC has lived by this vision—bridging people and institutions, giving Filipinos a voice in boardrooms, agencies, and policy tables. From brand strategies to public opinion studies, from consumer journeys to national programs, our work has always been rooted in the same goal: to understand Filipinos so they can be better served.

Our promise is to continue digging deep into the hearts of Filipinos. Having engaged with hundreds of thousands of people across all regions, classes, and communities, we know the Filipino best—and we have studied them the longest.

As we look ahead, PSRC will keep serving as the voice of the Filipino, delivering insights that inspire leaders, businesses, and policymakers to act with empathy and purpose. We engage to remake, to enrich, to create change that is meaningful and lasting.

Sapul sa Puso

The heart is where the future will be defined—not by sheer information, not by dazzling technology, but by true understanding. That is why, as PSRC marks 50 years, we reaffirm our commitment:

To deliver insight to incite. To keep getting to the heart of Filipinos. To continue digging deep into the heart of what truly matter.
